CRITICAL THINKING, PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING

INTRODUCTION:

This course will demonstrate how critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making work optimally together, and will provide hands-on practice with tools that can be applied immediately to everyday work tasks big or small.

Mastery of this subject matter is an essential competency in today’s knowledge based work places.

Critical thinking helps you to examine and improve thought processes, ask the right questions, challenge assumptions and consider varying viewpoints. Effective problem-solving helps you to properly identify and systematically work through a problem in a comprehensive manner, ensuring clarity when it comes time to make decisions or recommendations.

Course Overview

In this course we will cover all these important thinking approaches. After understanding the thinking mechanisms, we will provide you with methods and tools that you will practice during the sessions that you can implement immediately at work, and from the most mundane situations to the most difficult or unusual ones.

Participants will learn how to be an inventive, logical decision maker by understanding the principles behind critical thinking and the tools used to consistently identify and select the best decision among multiple alternatives.
